Aladdin is the fantastical tale of a young man's journey from a 'diamond in the rough' to the king of all hearts based in the mystical land of Arabia. With the help of a princess' love and the friendship of an intelligent monkey and a curious Genie, Aladdin defeats evil to restore joy to the beautiful land and its people.
directors' notes
"Creating Aladdin was a monumental task owing to the precedent set by the original production- it is dreamy, relatable, fantastical and sensorial- all at the time. Reconciling all these elements was a gratifying task, indeed. Our students really came through in realising our vision."
